Best career choice
Hi everyone! I am currently holding a degree in Mathematics and planning to start my postgraduates studies. I have already been made two offers; from LSE - MSc in Financial Mathrmatics and from Bristol - MSc in Finance and Investment. I desire to pursue a career as a Financial - Quantitative Analyst, working for brokerage firms or banks. Which of them should I choose to follow? I appreciate your help a lot!
LSE
.
Thank you for appreciating my help Chris!, That's kind of you :P I have been working as a Quantitative analyst for 30 years in a major global bank.Listen to your gut, kid. That's all that matters. We need mathematicians around to do the hard stuff, while we sit back and enjoy our fat salaries.Just kidding( no shit, didn't).Work hard, play hard and earn your place in the world.Your adventure has just begun. It's going to be a long road but you will endure.Believe in your beliefs and stand firm.Avoid women who may want you for the money and construct a proffesional personality so that others learn to FEAR YOU.They have to.You are the technocrat. Our mathematicians are valued to the fullest, despite them being prone to making bad jokes. That's my advice, and remember it comes from one of the elite.Keep that in mind while you study hard and try to understand those complicated topics of modern capitalism. Best wishes from one of the Best,
lol ok
LSE - it has the best brand and alumni network of the two.
