Best paying entry level positions globally in finance? (+example)

Dear monkeys,

I have been thinking about this question for a while now: what are actually the highest paying entry level jobs in finance globally? I am very aware of the industry in general and I am joining a top bank IB myself this summer, so I am not talking about the "Google-level" knowledge like 1. HF analyst 2. IB analyst 3. Financial controller or whatever BS Google would tell me, but rather I am talking about the under-the-radar most prestigious roles that I have seen recently in my life.

An acquintance of mine graduated from London School of Economics last year and would definitely had the chance to join top-tier IBs, but to my surprise he told me he had joined a crypto hedge fund in San Fransisco straight out of college and is making 400k+ a year. That is mind-boggling to me because society tells us that IB and MBB are the highest paying jobs out of college, but I am certain that under the veil there are highly selective and low-key positions that pay on a different level than the big corporations.

Please share if you have more insight or experience from positions like this.

Prop shop comp: ~500k USD at top shops as a grad

L/S HF training scheme (P72 academy, CAP ~250K USD)

Top paying IBD~ 210k USD An1

he studied finance. but in my understanding he's always been super gifted mathematically. and now that I think about it more, the "unicorn" entry level jobs in finance are probably related to analytical and complex quantitative roles that very very few people can succeed in. in some roles it is vital to have the smartest kid possible join from college and there is not many of them. Starting analyst classes in IB are quite large. supply and demand
