Big 4 Audit to Principal Investment
Hello folks!
Can anyone help me answer how an auditor like me can get into principal investment position?
I am becoming a senior associate (my 3rd year) at KPMG, and just started looking for a next step in finance industry. After a little study, I found principal investment most attractive since they seem to require some accounting specialty.
Just to give you my brief background, I have 2 year experience in military, 1 year in Deutsche Bank in internal control/risk management department, 2 years in KPMG, and acquired MS degree in Accounting and Finance.
It will be a great help if anyone can advise me what the best way is to transition my career to PI position.
Few more questions are; 1) How should I find and apply PI position that available right now? any recommended website or career forum/events to attend?
2) What banks or firms are known for PI business? I know GS PIA is the most well-known, but would like to seek further info.
3) What is the compensation range?
Again, thank you all who are willing to help me!!
You need CFA / MSF at a minimum, and like a top 15 MBA.
Big 4 audit = blackballed
