So I just got an offer for a senior associate position with a big 4 type consulting firm. This role is based off a major city in Texas and the group is specialized in financial services (banks, originators, etc.). I am supposed to respond within a couple days and would really appreciate any insights on lifestyle, career prospects and exit opportunities.
Is it crazy hours like audit (hopefully not)? I am no slacker and willing to put in the needed hours and efforts. But there's more to life than just work right? :)
Compensation, of course, cannot be compared with banking, but what about bonus? I heard that typically the year end bonus in audit is peanut (a few grand). Should I expect the bonus for the consulting arm to be better? The company wouldn't reveal any info about the potential bonus range, which I find really strange.
