Big4 offer - mention?

Hey,

I have an IBD off-cycle internship interview coming up.

I also have an offer (full-time) for PWC audit, should I mention this if asked?

Since the internship is off-cycle and after I graduate in a couple of months, I think they will ask me what my plans are if I don't get the offer. Whilst they are by no means the same, the skills from gaining an accounting qualification are obviously transferable, and I'm inclined to be honest about it being a good back up option.

What do you think?

I think that if they want to hire you, they will make you an offer whether you have another offer or not. Mentioning that you have an offer at a big 4 firm will only show that you are in demand, and should help your chances of getting in. It's not like they'll change their mind, and hire you, if you tell them that you have no other options.

You should make it clear that you are not a defeatist, and that if you don't get the job, you already have a great offer, and you will continue on your job hunt.
