Bond Rating Agency Exit Opps

Does anyone have any idea what kind of exit opportunities there are from the big 3 ratings agencies? I imagine that they would include credit hedge funds/PE/Asset Management, but is there anything else I’m not thinking of?

More specifically, would FI S&T be an option?

Look around the site as it's been discussed before.

In sum, you're looking too high for the most part. Your ops are dependent on your personal experience, background, and other qualifications. The more likely exits would be:

1) Corporate Banking (Underwriting or portfolio management) 2) Equity Research 3) Credit Research 4) Credit Risk 5) Treasury 6) Credit-focused Asset Management (insurance, mutual funds, credit desks for Treasury teams, etc.) 7) Big 4 Transaction Advisory 8) Other Rating Agencies

Stretch or Multi-Stage transitions: 1) Investment Banking (if you get into a niche-y role at the CRA like Oil and Gas or Structured Products, it may be easier; Lev Fin is a multi-stager) 2) S&T (because your skills are unrelated) 3) Corporate Development (because your M&A experience will be sub-par compared to IB Analysts)

Highly unlikely in the short-run unless you have contacts; these will be multi-stage things as well: 1) PE 2) Hedge Fund

Then there's a bevy of oddball stuff you could also do: 1) Finance/Business Development roles at a start-up positions 2) Investor Relations 3) Consulting (maybe more in a research capacity)

Thanks for the help. That list is overall fairly encouraging for me (I’m definitely happy with the “likely exits”).
