Bonus or Salary Tax?
Everyone is talking about how bonuses will be cut due to salary jumps but you get taxed more on bonuses so it's better for us to have a salary jump.

Nah, you're taxed the same. Bonuses are just withheld initially at a higher rate. You'll get the rest from your tax return, doesn't make a difference.
