Bonus Question

Does anyone have an idea of how much bonuses were for the first and second year analysts at a BB firm in 2001?
The reason I am asking is because I've heard 2001 was a terrible year for analysts in terms of bonus compensation and I want to know what one can reasonably expect for next year (assuming current conditions continue).

Thanks

I would have guessed even less than 20-30k in 2001-2002 - the market completely tanked...wasn't it down 40% or so off it's highs? Plus I thought that these huge outsized bonuses for analysts were a recent phenomenon made necessary to keep them jumping to hedge funds. Does anyone know what analyst bonuses were in the late 90's, or even years like 2003, 2004, 2005?
