Breaking into IB next year

Hey guys,

Just looking for some advice, I’m in the class of 2026 at a non-target uni in the uk and trying to break into investment banking. This summer I have an internship working for a company that does investment management for companies who are looking to invest in properties. I took this as I wasn’t eligible for many internships in IB as I’m not in my third year. I was thinking this will help my chances of getting into an IB internship next year, I also will be president of my uni’s finance society and also the student-run investment fund and asides from all this and heavy networking what else should I do to get in next year I was thinking maybe a qualification like CFA Level 1 but I think I wouldn’t have the time. Any advice is greatly appreciated :)
