Breaking into IB-SA UK after 1 yr of FT experience

Hey guys,

I'm a recent graduate and I live in eastern europe. I'm currently working at a local small PE shop as a first year analyst. My goal, however, is to break into IB in London. I was considering the safest path was to enrol in a short MFin programme in the UK and apply to a SA position by the end of the course. However, by the time the MFin programme begins, I will have had 1 year of FT experience.

Could this be seen as negative when applying for a SA position at UK banks? I've heard of FT recruiting as well but I've also heard that it is extremely difficult to land a place without a previous SA in the UK.

This can certainly be done. The FT experience will only be an advantage.
