Breaking into IBD with a double-major in economics and computer science

I'm a student in McGill University aiming for a carreer in investment banking, crazily passioned by finance, I was wondering if a major in economics and CS would make a competitive application...

Also, I've been taking a few steps ahead to anticipate my lack of knowledge in finance by being an active member of the investment club, taking electives in finance and accounting, as well as self-educating myself online in valuation, and later in investment management and M&A. I'm trying to be as proactive as possible, would you have any tips for me??

Finally, I have a 4.0 GPA now but a pretty low CGPA due to my shitty fall semester (insomnia will ruin your life) I'll request an e-flag, but if it doesn't work, does the cumulative matter that much? If yes, do you guys have any idea on how to make up for it?

Looking forward to your answers!
