Breaking into REPE from Brokerage

Hi All,

As the title states - I am a senior broker at a mid tier commercial brokerage firm in the Los Angeles Metro area. Looking to break into REPE as I've had some exposure on a few deals that piqued my interest in the PE field.

Has anyone here successfully transitioned out of investment sales to REPE? I am taking some modeling courses on the side to sharpen up those skills. I am also reaching out to as many shops to connect with an MD or Principal or VP and etc. I've had success connecting with a decent amount of people and am keeping in touch accordingly.

I have applied to many positions on LinkedIn and Select Leaders, but no responses.

Any tips / advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you
