brokerage firm internship
Hi All,
Currently I am interning at a big brokerage firm.Following is my job description:
Job Title:Client Solutions North America
Division : Client Solutions
Responsibilities:
The firms experienced sales and trading professionals have deep market experience and industry connections that enable them to deliver consistently superior executions ,market color and relative value ideas.In addition the research team provides economic,technical and fundamental analysis across the US and European fixed income markets.Our interns will develop business skills through:
=Standing in the pit assisting brokers with checking trades,counts etc
=Assisting account executives with administrative duties
=Assisting sales traders in daily execution functions
=Experience the job responsibilities of both a retail and CTA clerk
=Learn rules and regulations of the exchanges and how we work hand in hand with our compliance department to ensure proper procedures are followed.
=Comprehensive training program at a self directed Trade Center desk.
My questions are :
1)Am I just learning to be a broker?
2)Will this be useful for applying to BB sales and trading FT jobs ?
