Bulge Bracket Referral Hook Up

24 year old research associate at a small investment research boutique shop covering the retail industry, passed level II of the CFA this past June. Looking to make a move to a bulge bracket. Willing to give signing bonus as a "broker" fee for making something happen, even as minute as providing access to an interview. Message me if you can provide +EV in making this happen

How would you give us your signing bonus if all you ever got was an interview? Oh, and the reason nobody is responding to you is that its not worth anybody-with-enough-pull-to-make-something-like-this-happen's brand equity of passing along somebody who hasn't proved themselves for a 10K (especially taxed at 40+%)

Just pick up the phone and gmail and go network the old fashioned way like everybody else.

Orangutan,

Look just trying to think outside the box.....I come from a non ivy so the alumni base I have been reaching out to has been less than fruitful. I also have been working with placement firms but very few seem to deal with junior level positions because usually firms don't need to farm out that work to a placement firm. Wasn't meant to "go the easy way" just trying to find a solution to a problem

Agree with above. Props for trying to be creative (or trying to find an easy way out, if that's it, which is much less admirable- no props there) but it's hard to imagine that anybody who doesn't know you and your quality of work/person etc would risk their reputation to do something like this.

I agree with the above. Nobody is going to take you up on this offer.

If you have already got a couple of years of experience, you should reach out to headhunters. These headhunters will let you know about relevant opportunities and if you are an attractive candidate for a role, they will pitch you directly to the hiring person. Of course, this should be in addition to your own personal efforts.
