>in final year of MEng (Scotland, so it's 5 years)
>zero interest in engineering, disliked uni all throughout

I graduate in about 4 months. How bad would it look if I just dropped out and took the BEng (it'd be a 1st)? I have very good school grades plus a uni award and scholarship. I doubt that I'd be suspected of not knowing 2+2 but I don't know how bad it would make me seem to drop out just over half way through the year.

The most worrying thing is that I'd have to wait until later this year to apply to most grad jobs and I'd be working a retail job until then. Also I'm in the middle of some (non-engineering) internship interview processes and I don't know what they'd think of me dropping out.

What should I do? I know that non-engineering companies don't care about BEng / MEng. My CV has no internships with famous companies but I haven't had a huge amount of trouble getting grad job interviews since September (although only a few with investment banks). Frankly, I'm not going to be able to get a job at a BB IBD or MBB but I'd be happy with a career in the civil service (yeah I'm not a 'type A "money talks, bullshit walks"' person).
