Can the Universities do anything about early recruiting timelines?
Firms are already hosting 2024 info sessions at [INSERT SUPER TARGET SCHOOL IN NORTHEAST], and it's ridiculous. How are the sophomores supposed even to be able to explore college if they are stressed about coffee chats and recruiting in their third semester on campus?
I am sure the schools don't like this either, or at least they say they don't.
What power might a school or dean have in pushing back on these early recruiting timelines? In the past, W had a policy where you couldn't interview/do information sessions in their main campus building, but all the firms started using the hotel conference center nearby. Now with Zoom, companies can schedule interview and events whevener
