I know that there's a pretty good private equity FoF called Morgan Creek based in Chapel Hill. The universities themselves also do some hiring for their endowments, which are huge for both schools. What kind of stuff are you trying to do? There's a legit HNW advisory firm called Franklin St. Partners, and I think they also do some portfolio management for institutions.
As far as I-Banks/capital markets, not as sure...if someone has CapIQ access I would have an interest as well, most appreciated.
Definitely Julian: One of my undergrad alums worked at Morgan Creek before attending Fuqua. I also found Silverback Asset Management (not as well established as Morgan Creek) -- those are all accessible via free bus from UNC. I'm looking at several programs for a masters. This is for part time work while in attendance. I'll definitely look those up. The work for a part timer would probably be reporting and the link. Thanks!
