Would anyone with experience in equity research be able to provide some info, I have received an equity research internship offer at both SIG (buy-side) & Lazard (Sell-side). SIG seems to more macro focused where Lazard is much heavier on modelling, would anyone know where best exit-ops would be?
thank you
Both are great opportunities, so congrats on the offers.
It really depends on what you’re interested in. SIG buy-side research is more focused on options and not so much the detailed company-specific analysis and modeling that you would get exposure to in typical sell side roles. I would personally go with Lazard.
Thank you!
Agree with the above, if you are looking to learn how to analyze companies Lazard is the clear choice and much more transferable to top exit opts
Is that for SIG in Dublin? If so, do you know how much they pay?
Yes, 60k for first year training contract from what I am told, but increases quickly once finished training programme.
