Career Advice

Looking for some career advice on moving from HK back to Toronto. I'm a Canadian citizen but spent the last year and a half working in HK; one year was a fellowship with a PE firm and the last 6 months have been in DCM with a large Asian bank. Have enjoyed my time out here but for various reasons looking to head back home and would really like to get into IBD or Corp Banking but realize that I'm on a fairly untraditional path and the market sucks right now. Have really strong undergrad stats and some modelling experience from the year in PE if that makes a difference.

Does anyone have insights on how the off cycle/experience hired process works in Canada, specifically looking in Toronto for BB/Big 5/EB/(i.e. when do they hire, is it even possible to get in right now)? Also, if there is anyone willing to hop on a phone call for some advice it would be greatly appreciated.
