Career Advice for HS Senior

You guys are gonna absolutely fry me and tell me to do some finger painting for this, but I was wondering if there are any specific things one can do, besides attending a target school, to be able to secure a summer internship during junior year of college at a BB. I'm currently a senior in hs and wanted to ask you guys if there are any particular things you did that made you stand out. I was also wondering whether IB is still a viable career path or if it's worth considering other options. Would love to hear your opinions!
