Career Path Help

I need some advice. I am targeting only real estate finance as a career choice.

I still haven't found a job, have gotten offers but have declined some. I want to eventually move to NY but companies seem to not be willing to fly me in for an interview, they rather go locally first. So I thought to do some traveling jan and feb, and then move to NY march and spend some months there looking for a job. I received an offer as a real estate loan analyst for a commercial bank in NY, not much of a prestigious offer and it is temporary say 6 months. My question is, if what I really want is to work for a P/E, REIT, investment bank, etc. would putting this on my resume tarnish it? or help me out?

I graduate next week from a top 50 school, Finance Major, 3.6 GPA. I have relevant internships: 1 top brokerage, 1 boutique but prestigious investment bank for real estate (worked on deals over 100M) , and 1 bulge bracket wealth management internship. I also have Argus and Excel modeling certifications.

If money is not an issue, should I take the temporary job and continue to apply to jobs or should I simply apply to jobs?
