Career Paths

Im a 2nd year student and still am very uncertain as to where I want to work in the future. Another thing that constantly worries me is that I will be most likely entering a very unsettling job market and one that may render my education useless. I am currently studying economics and accounting and was wondering if getting an accounting designation (thinking right now CFA or CMA) would open more doors (and career options) to me than just doing finance as my second major.

Would love to hear how some of you got to be where you are at now or reasons why you switched careers.

Thanks in advance.
