CIBC Toronto Groups - 2026

Looking to learn more about the top performing and best culture groups at CIBC in Toronto. I've read that the EIT and Metals & Mining team are among the best performing, but would like to know more about their Consumer, Industrial, Telecom (CIT) team and M&A team.

Also, how do they stack up to the likes of RBC, BMO, and TD? I will be interning in a non-IB division at CIBC Toronto for my sophomore summer and want to land in IB for the following summer.

Plus, how does BofA, MS, and Evercore compare to the top groups at a Big 5 in terms of deal experience and exit opps? My ultimate goal is to land in PE, so l'd love to hear how these banks place in both Toronto and the US.
