CLT -> NY IR?
Current AN1 at a MM in Charlotte who is starting to consider potential opportunities after banking. Originally from the NY area and want to move back there longer term. Currently thinking IR roles (either pubco or at a PE fund) might be the right switch for me given the WLB, comp, exposure to LP’s and sales opportunities with an analytical component. Know that these roles are harder to come by, was wondering if anyone has advice for making the switch from a T2/T3 city to NY and how to begin recruiting for these roles (i.e. headhunters vs. applying directly, networking, timelines compared to traditional investment roles, etc.). Appreciate any insight people have!
Man this is exactly me....AN1 in CLT cannot wait to move to NYC
Op here, do like it here in CLT but wanna be closer to family long term. Happy to be making so much money here for 1/2 the price of nyc lol
