Cold Emailing Within Current Firm

If you're working for a bulge bracket or large bank and you are looking to change positions would it be advisable to cold email managers in the new department? If you're working in PWM at the firm and want to move into S&T would cold emailing VP's/MD's on a desk work? Can easily grab all their contact information through the company directory, find what desk they are one, who reports to them or who they report to etc.

I'd discuss it with your higher ups in a very respectful manner before doing anything. Tell them you'd like to explore other areas of the bank to learn more about different products, etc.

People tend to think life is a race with other people. They don't realize that every moment they spend sprinting towards the finish line is a moment they lose permanently, and a moment closer to their death.
