Commitment to Diversity During Diversity Recruiting

I've been seeing a lot of talk about the IU Kelly fake diversity scandal but haven't seen anyone bring up that on some (not all) of these diversity applications, you don't need to be a diverse candidate if you show a commitment to diversity. For example, as a freshman I applied to DB's summer achieve program (for sophomore summer) which is technically a diversity internship, but it said you must be a diverse candidate or show a commitment to diversity. As an undiverse candidate, I applied and had to write a mini essay of how I was committed to diversity. I got invited to do the DB ethical/culutre test (or whatever it was forgot exactly and not sure if everyone gets it though). For the IU Kelly Scandal, not sure what the specific qualifications of those diversity programs those kids got into, but it could possibly be that they had to show a commitment to diversity during the application like for DB Achieve. Again, not sure, but this is one possibility.

No those kids literally pretended they were black or Hispanic, because they were retarded enough to tell their friends that they were faking diversity

Also everyone gets the test… you didn’t get the offer because you’re not diverse

Well those kids are just stupid telling everyone they did that. But even if everyone gets the DB thing, my point still stands that for some diversity programs, nondiverse people are eligible.

You literally cannot get hired. I’ve networked with VP and above bankers for sophomore summer BB IB internships and get told I most likely won’t be hired because I’m not diverse.

If you can read, I said it's dependent on the specific diversity program. For DB achieve it said as long as you show you're committed to diversity you're eligible. For other programs you are right though, you can't get hired simply because you are not diverse (which I think is ridiculous).

I can read. Eligibility doesn’t mean shit if they don’t give offers to the non-diverse pool. Look on linkedin and see how many non-diverse people did db achieve.

Are you stupid? For the last time, you got the assessment that everyone gets automatically. You're not "diverse" if you're "commited to diversity". You're stretching and extrapolating the wording of a prompt to the eligibility of diversity programs

Those gentlemen are doing a public service. Everyone trying to cancel them is either a diversity hire who's mad that someone else is taking their handout or racists/dumb people

Agreed. They’re exposing diversity hiring for the shitshow that it is. Don’t hate the player, hate the game.
