I've had this happen to me a few times. I have a pretty unremarkable GPA and dropped resumes even if I missed the cutoff by a few points. If your work experience/extra curriculars make you a good candidate then they probably acknowledged that your GPA was low but still wanted to give you a shot. I would prepare like hell for a real interview.

Listen, here's the thing. If you can't spot the sucker in the first half hour at the table, then you are the sucker.
