Connect on LinkedIn after Employer rejects you (internship)?

Would it be okay to follow up via LinkedIn and connect with employees who you met through the recruiting process at a place that rejected you? Of course I would wait about a month or so.

At some places, these people would be the higher ups and at others, the people I would connect with would just be analysts.

IRSPBJust do it. I got a couple of interviews after I stayed in touch with the people whom I interviewed. Even if the company isn't hiring, the folks there could know someone else who is and might forward your resume.

Also why wait for a month? They might forget you.

Agreed. Just do it- and do it now. If you connected with somebody and they particularly liked you, they may be willing to vouch for you later.

Sounds fine to me. I'm not sure I would wait a month, though. No offense, but they might forget you if there were a lot of people that applied.
