Connection btw HRs of Banks

Hi Guys I have a question that I need your opinion on,

How much communication is done between IB human resources. I am asking because I am currently working for one but would like to apply for jobs in others. I simply do not want my resume to be circulating around the banks and somehow ends up on the desk of my boss.

The HRs has some sort of confidentiality obligation dont they? is it reasonable to expect the HRs to be confidential about it? What if they are friends with each other? :(

Thanks for your help.

Davo.

Dude, don't worry. HR might have friends at another bank; they might even have worked at another bank. They are firstly required to maintain confidentiality, and would get fired if they didn't, and secondly, their job is to bring in talent; do you really think they'd make that harder by helping out the competition.

I'm sure you have friends at other banks; do you let them know everything you're doing?

If they do. You can sue them.

How'd those initial emails get out? ...... HR.

Don't ever trust HR.

Obviously you should never trust HR; you should never trust anyone.

However, that is a different context; Chiang claimed to be interviewing elsewhere, rather than working elsewhere; if you are looking to lateral, some of the juniors at a bank may feel out their friends at your bank as to your ability, but they are certainly not going to call HR until after you've been hired and they're doing the background check. There is simply no way they benefit by doing so.
