I’m a current college junior at a semi-target (think public ivies like UVA / Michigan / Berkeley). I’ve had two prior internships, but I struck out pretty hard this recruiting cycle.
I’m trying to be realistic-if I still want to break into high finance (IB / similar paths) and secure a full-time role, what do I actually need to do this summer?
Not looking for sugarcoating. If the answer is “it’s going to be very tough,” I’d rather hear that and understand what specific actions can still move the needle (networking volume, boutique internships, technical prep, certifications, etc.).
Appreciate any blunt advice.
the hardest thing is not letting your grades slip do everything you have been doing
