Credit Suisse - M&A, Sponsors

What do you think of CSFB's M&A and financial sponsors practice in Asia Pacific? I currently work at a boutique...and have an interview scheduled with them. This is my best bet into a BB!! Any advice?

Have worked extensively on media at the boutique...think I'll be able to leverage that at CS?

Which one are you going for M&A or Financial Sponsors? From there do your research. I would say that CSFB overall is good enough overall. I would also say that if what you want to do is go to a BB and that this is your only bet, then how much choice do you have? Finally, I would say that you should really determine the culture of the bank, because ultimately... well you should know by now.

Yes, you went from an Ibanking position and you are now seeking another one from CSFB, so you should be able to leverage it. If you are referring to Sponsors, it may be a little harder sell - don't see too many media deals from Investor Groups.

Thanks! Would prefer M&A...but haven't heard too much about their Asia-Pac M&A practice...any ideas on where I could find out?

As far as their culture is concerned - I've heard that they are entrepreneurial - is that true?

Dude, all you have to do is look at thomson league tables. they are ranked 11th.

Dont know anything about CSFB, dont work for them. However, I would think they are very bureaucratic as they are swiss.
