I've got a couple of interviews with them next week for IBD, Can anyone briefly tell me what the diff in culture is like in both CS and UBS? I've never been able to get a good grasp of the difference, only that UBS seems more laid back Also, what exactly are the best groups in both CS and UBS respectively? Thanks a lot!

The atmospheres are about as different as you can get from my experience interviewing and speaking with the two. UBS seems very restrictive, very hierarchical, very formal. On the other hand, CS seems a lot more collaborative and laidback. Nearly everyone I met was a lot more relaxed. UBS guys seemed incredibly bright and focused. There also seemed to be a lot more diversity at UBS, though I interviewed for a smaller office with CS than UBS so that could be it. Ultimately it comes down to what you like.
