Are you asking a question or just telling us your story? Either way, having something financial services-related is better than not having anything at all. Use this to later reach out to BB firms that are doing FT recruiting. It'll be really difficult but not impossible to secure a FT position. Network your ass off during the summer and see if you can also shadow in NYC or wherever you want to work with alumni. This is what I did and I ended up getting a FT position at a BB without having a summer internship, in fact I externed with alumni for four weeks at a fund.

ConnorWtf... Your school sucks that you go that long. This is my last week.

Last week as in classes this week and finals next week? Or finals this week? At my school, we always start in late August and end in early to mid May. However, we get almost a month off for christmas, a week-long fall break, week-long spring break, and Thursday and Friday off around Easter. No three day weekends like labor day or MLK or anything. I'd MUCH rather have a fall break and a longer christmas break than a longer summer, which is already 3 long months as it is.
