Either way I would do it. You should always be networking, even if you already have a job.
This is for Junior SA. Most resume drops take place in mid January to Feb roughly at my college. I am sure I could meet people in the first two weeks by scheduling the meetings, I dont have school or work so I could meet all day for those two weeks.
It feels contrived to do so like a few weeks before resume drops. However, I will have already talked to them on the phone. I guess I have to try my best given the time contraints. Its tough to meet one or a few people on an off day for me such as friday or saturday. With finals, projects and a few ec's, its tough to make trips to meet people.
I will try to fit in a day or two before December 16th. I guess it does depend on the person you talk to as a few are very helpful and offer to help so I dont think they will mind too much that I meet with them literally just before the resume drops.
