Desk Strat Salaries and Career Progression

Hey all,

CS major and managed to land an internship as a fixed income strat at Morgan Stanley. Tried searching online but had trouble finding any solid sources (levels.fyi only has salaries for developers and Glassdoor doesn't have many salary postings for my role). So decided to see if I could get some information here-- does anyone have any insight on the career and salary progression of strats? What roles/senior roles do people take on after this role? What are the salaries of those roles? Leveling/timeline of people in my position?

I have a pretty solid software/coding background but this is my first role to do anything with finance. Are the salaries in this role on par with quants at hedge funds and hfts (I expect not)? If not, will this role help me break into those roles? I'm really new to the world of quant/finance so forgive me for any noobiness, any insight is greatly appreciated. Also let me know if this should be under another forum or something.
