Did I fuck up???? Suggestions plz
So I've networked my ass off and through a contact of a contact was introduced to an HR manager at a well known asset manager. After emailing the HR manager off and on over the last 6mo with minimal replies, I emailed him last week and let him know I applied to an associate development program.
Surprisingly, he replied back and wanted to set up a time to call and discuss the position. In the course of setting up the call I emailed him back from my phone and used u instead of you.
Stupid small mistake, but do you guys think this could ding me??? Should I acknowledge my informality on the call. Am I being a bitch about this??? This would be a baller job for me and I don't want to fuck up my chances.

Well what's done is done. If I were you I wouldn't make a big deal of it and definitely don't acknowledge or bring attention to it. Since you've already had many emails with HR, they won't likely think 'oh, this guy decided to be cute with his spelling - DING'. If it was a first or second email or call, then yes they may be picky on formality and spelling.

I think it's insignificant. As long as the rest of your correspondence was up to par you should be fine. Whenever I have to send a formal/really important email outside the firm, I always make sure to do it from a PC not my BB.
