Didn't get BB for the Summer...... Best alternatives?

Recruiting for the BB is already almost over at my school and with the exception of one, I didn't get any interviews. Although I was selected as the alternate for the position, I have no other real prospects and don't know what to do now. Overall I'm pretty surprised and disappointed in the lack of interviews (I go to a target (3rd year), 3.5+ GPA, BB PWM Experience...) but am now just looking for any opportunity that'll help me break into the industry and be a quality learning experience. I'm primarily interested in S&T but would definitely take a chance to work in IB if it arose. I've done resume drops with some trading firms in the area but I'm having similar luck. Does anybody here have any advice as to what I should do now or where I should be looking?

I would start trying some networking with botiques and MM firms - maybe you can get your foot through the door that way? Since you're at a target, your school probably has a strong alumni network. Being an alternate for a BB doesn't mean too much since most people selected to interview will choose to interview and there probably will be no spots left.

When did recruiting for the BB "start" for you, if it's already finished? ie: When were the apps due according to your career services site? When did they interview?

I've been doing some resume drops through my college's career services website but I'm still not getting much luck as far as interviews go. As far as being the alternate, what I meant was that I already interviewed for the position and was than told that a decision hasn't been made on my application yet (AKA if the other person doesn't accept you'll get the offer). I'm not really holding out for that or other BBs since interviews have already been scheduled for them and I wasn't selected after submitting an application. I'm just looking for realistic alternatives now

First of all, pretty sure they know you excluded a portion of your SAT score, since it should be out of 2400.

Dude two questions 1 why does ur non profit experience overwhelm ur resume. 2 related to above , why is ur SA experience so light. What kind of analysis did you do. Do u have any specifics. Can u about specific projects. Get creative and tailor to S/T...

Your bullet points and format needs to be more optimized. You have the profile to at least get an interview ..... previous bb summer analyst ... and no interviews this time around .... I think you messed up pretty bad.

your bullet points are to vague... what kind of research .. what kind of analysis. also, ya, your non profit takes up way to much space, and your "skills" section is clearly a filler.

Most of the work I did for the BB was pretty meaningless and mostly just busy work so I didn't want to be too specific and get caught over-exaggerating. And what do you mean by more optimized?

How many applications did you send out and were they all for S&T? I would also try to tighten up the BB experience to make it more tailored towards S&T.

I've probably done over 40 resume drops through my college's career services website. Not all of them have been S&T but most are, with a good amount of IB. Any suggestions as to things I might be able to include? Like I said most of my work was me taking the initiative to try to learn about things, not a lot of actual client work.
