Disappointed in SA 24 - Thoughts/Advice?

Hello WSO community, I’m not trying to show off or anything in the below post - just truly how I’m feeling.

So I got into a mid tier bb as a non div international from target. I always thought I was destined for more - interviewed at a bunch of MFs and some EBs but just nothing seemed to work. Feeling a lot of insecurity and frustration as I see some idiotic peers get into top institutions just because of diversity, connections or plain old luck.

What do you guys thing I should do ? How is the lateral process ? Is it even possible considering my background ?

Dude let it go. You will be much happier thinking you are not better than others. I know it can be hard to see others succeed when you may feel better or more qualified but life isn’t fair. You can always recruit for full time. That attitude is not gonna get you far.

Please let me play a song on the world’s smallest violin… if you think like this your whole life you will never be happy

Yep your career is finished now sorry man. Look maybe you got unlucky or you weren't good enough idk, either way everyone knows the future rainmakers and CEOs all land MFs and top EBs out of college. Pretty sure I heard 80% of Citi's analyst class usually ends up at big 4 audit.

It's gonna be a long road ahead for you
