Do I even have a shot for IB internship?
Hello. My goal is to break into IB and am looking for a summer internship for 2026 in IB. I come from a semi target (UNC, Rice, Emory, USC, etc.) With a 3.93 gpa. I am genuinely curious on how well I am positioned for summer analyst internship interviews and my chances. Recently finished my military service. My only experiences are that I did mandatory military service and won a pretty big army wide presentation competition and a marketing internship I did. I'm really worried about my chances of landing a SA role because of my lack of finance-related experience. Also if I start networking now, am I considered late to the game? Also how realistic are my chances of landing a SA role?
Try to find teams with vet members on LinkedIn and shoot them a message. When you’re able to get calls with these people, ask them about their military experience and tell them about yours. Best of luck and thanks for your service if you served in the USMIL!
