You can still apply in final year.

The reason for why you did not get any interviews is because (1) you didn't apply to enough places (2) you applied late and (3) not good enough CV. 

Having spoken to people who runs recruitment, people who fail to "pass" the hirevue is not because of your video respond, 99% of cases its because your CV does not pass the screening. This has nothing to do with how well you are at video interviewing. 

Imo, find MSc Finance student at Bocconi with a lot of experience and in some shape of form let him take you under his wing and carry you.

Been there before and it’s incredibly frustrating. Is not like you're doing something wrong, but unfortunately having a high GPA but no work experience is just not enough to make the cut. Most BSc from Bocconi got their SA through spring internships or diversity recruitment, all the other spots are filled by students from the MSc in Finance (again, only those with previous internships at good shops make the cut).

Great suggestion from the other user to find a mentor (obviously someone that managed to land a SA)
