E-mail campus recruiter

I applied to a BB for a summer internship its not S&T or IB think GWM and deadline was last Friday. After some digging around I have the campus recruiter e-mail addrs. So I was wondering do you think its a good idea to e-mail the recuiter to show that I'm very interested you think it could work in my favor?

I worked a small pitch and what like your input

Hi: Ms/Mr.

My name is XXXX, I applied to your summer XXX position. I'm still very interested in joining the summer XXX team, as I believe I will be a great asset to the company and it would enriching experience to work with such a prestigious company. I would like the chance to discuss my qualifications at your earliest convenience.

What do you think any adivce?

Not a bad idea, but make sure to proofread - "it would enriching experience" is not quite there...

Also, what's the point in writing "think GWM"? If it's GWM,it's GWM; if it's not, it's not. You're not exactly giving away your identity by saying what field of finance you're interested in...
