EB to BB or BB to EB for an analyst to enter private equity.
Hello, I have just kept baby steps in IB with an internship from an BB bank, but I'm not sure about the future prospects for an transition into Private equity. Do PE firms value BB over EB bank? I want to make decisions based on the long term at an investment bank. I would really appreciate, If anyone can take some time out in responding to the above question. Thanks
Too broad. You have to be specific about the bank. Obviously you’ll have better PE recruitment at an EB than UBS or DB, but wouldn’t say the same for GS TMT or MS M&A.
Region where you work matters. US EBs or top BBs, EMEA Top-mid BBs (unless you want credit)
Sorry for the insufficient info. The region is US and the Bank is either centerview/Evercore and the BB bank where I interned is MS. I'm primarily looking at Real estate sector in any PE firm.
