ECM IB SA-> FT IB dif bank
Curious to hear this jump. Signed a ECM offer this summer (for next year) and want to recruit full time for banking next year. I want to keep all options open and recruit all banks just in case the switch is not possible internally. Does anyone have experience with this and can provide insight? I know markets does not have the same skill set as IB, but given that you've worked in banking and have industry knowledge and have worked closely with the coverage groups, is there a good shot of making the jump at another bank?
Should be able to lateral at current bank either for FT or after 1-2 years.
If you lateral after 1-2 years, do you still have the same exits as an analyst that went directly.
