Emailing senior recruiter

I have the email address of a Bloomberg senior recruiter. My GPA is 2.7 (crap I know) and I was wondering whether there's a point in contacting here to improve my shot of getting into Bloomberg?

If so, what should I email her with? I was thinking of a simple I'm interested in a post in your department (or maybe type up a cover letter) and then attach my CV and wait and see if she bites. Then arrange an interview/meetup.

Or I can be frank about my GPA from the get-go and see if she bites.

Any thoughts aprpeciated!
