End of Informational Interview
Is it appropriate to ask for an interview at the end of the first informational interview you do with an IB VP (do they even have the authority to offer you one)?
If so, what would be the way/wording to subtly hint at it without just asking straight up?
Thanks!
No. You can ask about the recruiting process, but asking for an interview is a solid no. They aren't stupid. If they think you'd be a good candidate, they would either refer you to someone running the process or pass along your resume. If you have to prompt them to do either, it's lost.
Ok thanks for this response. So should I ask for a reference at the end then, or would they offer if they see fit?
Absolutely not
