What is this?
Is this awkward to show up alone to? What percentage of people would you say show up in groups and don't really branch out? I am really interested in coming to this, but I cannot for the life of me convice any of my friends to come.... anyone, anyone?
Dude, grow a pair and show up alone. I used to go to local ACG and CFA meetings alone when I was in undergrad and it was akward as fuck at first, but I met a bunch of people and even got some interviews out of it. This industry is all about who you know so do yourself a favor, don't worry about being akward and get out there and meet as many people as you can.
Most people came alone. Was only a few groups and they networked their tail off
