Engineer gpa for recruitment

I have a 3.67 gpa as an aerospace engineer major. I'm from a semi-target school (ucla/uva/mich). If I have decent connections with a few BBs, do I have any potential for IB because of my gpa, and will banks show sympathy because I am an engineer major? Please let me know, as I am debating my prospects right now.

If you attend UCLA/UMich/UVA and have a 3.67 GPA as an engineering major, you have a very good shot at making it into IB provided that you know your technicals and are able to articulate your interest in IB. Networking also helps a lot of a lot of firms.
