Entry-Level Operations Analyst: What should I expect?

Hello! I recently was offered a position as an Operations Analyst in a large international bank's high yield division in NYC. Although I'm pretty certain that I will accept this offer, I wanted to get some more insight into what the Operations route would be like. Would my growth be limited to only back-office and operations positions or could I expand to front-office roles? How difficult would it be to get into a different field, such as Management Consulting?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
