Evaluate Job Offers
Hi,
I am being offered two roles for the same base pay. One is at Deutsche with AVP and the other is a Assoc. Director role at UBS. Any thoughts on which one would be better to choose?

Depends what the roles are and what you want to do. If one is Accounting and one is Compliance and you want to do ER it changes things from two identical roles or some other combination of possibilities.
Well they both are in compliance .. is Assoc Director same as VP level?
I got 2 friends titled at AVP making $85k base and I got this other friend titled Associate making $120k base. Haven't figured out what the deal is.. perhaps just boils down to negotiation ability.. just thinking aloud.
If I had to pick one, it would be UBS. Deutsche is still shrinking its global operations, while UBS could be looking to put back together its IB division. And Associate Vice President and Associate Director are both basically the same level; like a 6 month associate. See: http://www.wallstreetoasis.com/forums/what-is-an-associate-director
Atque at perferendis ullam. Ipsa mollitia nisi cum et accusamus aut.
