Exotic Equity Trade Support opportunity

I've been trying to move from accounting in to banking/finance, I now have a tier one bank who want to speak to me about a role in their equities team supporting exotic trades. I'm surprised because this is totally outside my experience, but they have chosen the role based on my resume which tells them I have no trading/equities experience! There is no job description available so can anyone suggest what the role might entail and how an accounting background would help?
